Current Power Failure
Unfortunately due to underground electrical issues in the area, we have no power at Potterells Medical Centre.
We therefore have limited access to clinical records. We currently have no computers, telephones and or lighting in the practice.
Calls to Potterells Medical Centre are currently being diverted through to our University branch and the staff there will do their best to help with your query. We ask that you please call for urgent queries only during this time.
We are sorry for an inconvenience and hope to be back to full capacity soon.

"Improving the health of babies, children and young people throughout Hertfordshire and West Essex"
Healthier Together - a community initiative
The Healthier Together programme relies upon patients and healthcare professionals working together to improve how local healthcare is delivered. The website provides advice for parents, young people and pregnant women, and clinical resources to support healthcare professionals – which means that your child is likely to receive consistently high-quality care, irrespective of which healthcare professional they see.
If you are looking for advice on symptoms, have queries around vaccinations, worries around mental health and wellbeing, or the social and financial aspects of daily living, the Healther Together webpage could help you.

Personalised Care Team
Did you know?
We have a team of staff within our practice that offer personalised care.
Here are their roles and how they can help you.
Some helpful information - Strep A and Scarlet Fever
There are many questions surrounding Strep A at the moment.
Please see the two links below which provide some helpful information. This includes what to look out for, next steps and who to contact.
Please note, on Wednesday 9th November 2022 we have staff training.
Therefore, all calls between 13.30 and 17.30 will be diverted through to Herts Urgent Care.
This ensures there is still access to care needed during this time period.
The practice will re-open at 17.30pm.
The Local Winter Warmer
The 'Winter Warmer' will offer a warm space and a warm welcome, with an opportunity to buy a mug of warming soup and bread and a cup of tea or coffee.
Open every Thursday from 12.30pm-3.30pm starting on the 10th of November.
The attached leaflet will supply further details.
Warning - Road Conditions
Please be aware that due to the weather, there are delays on the roads around the practice.
There is some flooding on the local roads creating queuing.
Please allow yourself additional time to travel to your appointment.
Please drive safely.
