Out of Hours
Extended Hours - Saturday and Evenings
Appointments must be booked in advance.
Pre-booked appointments are available for certain evenings and Saturday mornings. Appointments will be open to all, and we hope that this will appeal particularly to those who are working during the week and have previously found it difficult to see the doctor.
Doctors will not be available for walk-in or emergency care of any sort. If you require this you must contact the Out of Hours Service in the usual way.
- Reception opening is extended to 9pm on Mondays.
- Reception is also open one Saturday per month from 8:30am to 11am.
WelHat Enhanced Access
Would you like to see a GP or Nurse for routine appointments in the evening or at the weekend?
Try the WelHat Enhanced Access Service
Local practices are working together to provide appointments at a time which is most convenient for you.
Welhat Enhanced Access Service provides appointments to those who would prefer to be seen for routine GP or nurse appointments later in the evening or at the weekend. These appointments can be booked with the receptionist at your own GP surgery however you may not see your own GP or practice nurse and you would have to travel to Spring House Medical Centre for your appointment. When booking an appointment, you will need to give permission for your medical records to be accessed and updated.
Routine appointments are available:
- Monday to Friday: 6:30pm to 8pm
- Saturday: 8am to 4pm
- Sunday: 8am to 2pm
For more information on the WelHat Enhanced Access service, or to book an appointment please speak to a member of your practice reception team or call 01707 273338. More information is available on the Ephedra Healthcare website
If you need to cancel or rebook an enhanced access appointment please contact reception on 01707 273338.
When the practice is closed you can call 01707 294358 to leave a message.

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.
To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.
