Antenatal Clinics

When you find out you are expecting a baby then book a routine appointment with a GP to arrange to be booked for your antenatal care with the midwives. Subsequent to booking your care is taken over by the midwife team and all your antenatal appointments and arrangements are made by them.

The local community midwives have drop in Clinic every Tuesday at De Havilland Clinic in Hatfield from 09:30 – 11:00.   No appointment needed for your first attendance, thereafter they will give you a booked appointment.

Women's Health

  • Contraceptive services are carried out by the practice nurses during their normal surgeries. Please book a routine appointment. If you are considering having a coil fitted, or a contraceptive implant please speak to a Practice Nurse.
  • Smears/HPV testing are carried out by our Practice Nurses. All women between 25 and 65 will receive an invitation every 3 to 5 years (interval depends on age). Book a routine appointment with a Practice Nurse - please specify that it is for a smear.
  • The breast screening programme saves lives. All women aged 50 to 65 are invited for a mammogram when the mobile screening service visits the area every 3 years. The next round of screening is scheduled for 2021.
